Charles Zhang Chaoyang, 52, responded to entirely unproven social media reports that Swift has struck up a new romance with a Chinese tycoon in his 50s.

Chinese internet sleuths seemingly decided Zhang was the man in question - due to his matching up with the two descriptions in the online rumor.

But the 52-year-old denied the claim last Friday, going as far as to say he does not even know who Swift, 27, is.
