China plans to launch the heavy-lift Long March-9 carrier rocket in 2028, said an official of China National Space Administration (CNSA) at the World Conference on Science Literacy 2018 last Tuesday.
中国国家航天局系统工程司司长李国平表示，长征九号火箭的长度将超过90米，芯级直径达到10米。
Li Guoping, director of the Department of System Engineering of the CNSA, said that the length of the Long March-9 will exceed 90 meters, and the rocket would have a core stage with a diameter of 10 meters.
李国平司长表示，该火箭将能够携带140吨的有效载荷至近地轨道，这是长征五号的5倍。
It would be able to carry a payload of 140 tonnes into low-Earth orbit, five times that of the Long March-5, Li said.
而该火箭的地月转移轨道运载能力将达50吨。
The rocket's capacity would also reach 50 tonnes for Earth-Moon transfer orbit.
另外，我国还在开发一种中型太空火箭--长征8号，预计将在2020年进行首次飞行。
China is also developing a medium space rocket, the Long March-8, which is expected to make its maiden flight in 2020.
目前，长征系列运载火箭已经发射了284次，共向太空发射了400多艘航天器。
