国家发改委官员欧晓理12月20日在中国计划生育协会主办的一个论坛上表示，我国3岁以下婴幼儿人数超过4700万，生养孩子给家庭带来的高经济成本以及对父母职业发展的影响已成为社会关注的热点问题。未来五年，国家发改委将推动婴幼儿照护服务发展。
China has over 47 million children under the age of three and the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) will seek improved childcare service in the next five years, NDRC official Ou Xiaoli said Sunday. Raising children brings families under financial strain and affects parents' career, which has been a focus of society, Ou Xiaoli said at a forum organized by the China Family Planning Association.
国家卫生健康委副主任于学军致辞表示，为解决这个问题，国家卫健委协调各方，推进婴幼儿照护服务的政策法规、标准规范、服务供给体系建设。
To address the problem, the National Health Commission (NHC) is working with other departments to improve policies, regulations, standards and supply childcare services, said Yu Xuejun, deputy head of the NHC.
于学军表示，下一步将强化政策支持，拓宽普惠托育供给。
Yu also pledged strengthened policy support to make childcare services more universally available to society.
